266 faculty op Medicine student is eligible to enter on the duties of this office at period later than eight and half years from the time of his Matriculation or year of standing in the Medical Faculty or nine and half years if he have passed the Primary the Intermediate Examination of London or the corresponding Examination of any other British University He shall be appointed after written and viva voce or practical examination Candidates may be admitted to the examination before obtaining their diplomas but no one will be allowed to enter upon his duties until he shall be qualified by some diploma '1 ν τ ι Τ 1" "1 ν ϊ Λ Κ to practise This officer will not reside in the Hospital but shall attend daily throughout tjie week at 10 and on such Sundays as shall be allotted to him in the rota of Casualty Duty He shall attend casualty cases from 10 to and if required by his Seniors after the completion of the Out- Patient work He shall attend in the Out-Patient Department at daily and remain there until all the Out-Patients have been prescribed for shall occupy separate desk and see such patients as may be entrusted to him by the Physician in attendance He shall be responsible for the Clinical Pathology of the Out-Patient Department Such Assistant House Physicians as shall have performed their duties to the satisfaction of the Committee of Manage- ment and the Council during four months shall if otherwise eligible be considered as having ceteris paribus claim to be elected to the office of Junior House Physician Junior House Physician -He shall take charge of the beds of the Physicians to wrhom he may be attached He shall superintend the work of their Clerks and be responsible to them for accurate reports and records and for the Clinical Pathology of the cases under their care He shall visit his wards daily between the houj of 10 and
