240 faculty of medicine The Lectures will be illustrated by fresh and dried speci- mens of Plants microscopic preparations and large collec- tion of diagrams and drawings In the Practical Class Vegetable Practical Biology the Students will examine all the Plants included in the syllabus for the Preliminary Science Examination of the University of London For further details see Syllabus of Faculty of Science MEDICINE Principles and Practice Burney Yeo Professor In this Course of Lectures the Professor treats of those diseases which come under the care of the Physician as distinguished from those which fall under the care of the Surgeon These diseases are considered with regard to their nature and Pathology their causation their symptoms and course-their morbid anatomy-diagnosis prognosis-prevention and treatment The Lectures are illustrated so far as practicable by Preparations Drawings and Models and by recent Specimens of diseased structure On account of the great extent of the subjects embraced in this Course some of them are treated of only in alternate years NEURO-PATHOLOGY David Ferrier LL Professor Turner Demonstrator Courses of Instruction including both Lectures and De- monstrations are given in the Winter and Summer Sessions NEURO-PATHOLOGICAL LABORATORY This Laboratory has been recently opened for the purposes of teaching the anatomy physiology and pathology of the nervous system and for original research There are both Summer and Winter courses of instruction which consist of lectures and demonstrations
