engineering architecture and applied sciences 183 ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING Ernest Wilson Wh Sc Μ Ι Ε Ε Professor Thursday 2-5 Friday 30-4 30 Saturday 10-1 After two years passed in the Engineering Division of the College in obtaining the general training that is neces- sary to enable Students to successfully follow Electrical Engineering they are admitted to special Course of Lectures and Laboratory Work but must produce qualifying ψ lift Certificates from the Professors of Physics Chemistry and Mathematics Students who have not passed Preliminary Course at the College can be admitted on producing the same qualifying Certificates as are mentioned in the preceding clause or other evidence of equal proficiency in these subjects The William Siemens יי Laboratory is open throughout the week for advanced Students whose preparation qualifies them for conducting original researches under advice and direction of the Professor The Laboratory contains Steam-engine and Boiler Direct and Alternate Current Dynamos of latest design large Resistances and is thoroughly equipped with instruments of newest construction It is fitted with large set of Accu- mulators and Students are enabled to study every branch of Electrical Engineering The Certificates given in this subject depend partly on written and partly on practical examination Visits to works in or near London will be arranged from time to time of which due notice will be given Matriculated Students attend for Lectures and Laboratory Work on Thursdays 2-5 Fridays 30-4 30 Saturdays 10-1 יי ΊΊ י Syllabus of Lectures Electrical Units Laws and Standards Calibration and Construction of Electrical Measuring Instruments
