BYE-LAWS xix Notice as to Meetings of the Council Notice of every meeting shall be sent to each member of the Council not less than five days before it except in cases of urgency and such notices shall as far as possible specify the business which is to come before the Council Adjournment of Meetings of Council If three members of the Council are not present at reasonable time after the hour fixed for meeting those who are present may either adjourn to some day fixed by them- selves or let the the business stand over till the next ordinary meeting Notice of Meeting of General Courts The Secretary shall cause fourteen days' notice at least of the holding of the Annual General Court and of any Extraordinary General Court and of any adjournment thereof to be given by Advertisement in such of the Newspapers published in London or Westminster as the Council shall direct and like notice shall be suspended during the same period in the usual place for notices in the College and shall be sent to all members of the College Council may appoint Committees The Council may from time to time appoint Finance and such other Committees as they shall think fit with such powers and duties as the Council may give them Office of Treasurer The Treasurer of the College shall be ex-officio Member and the Chairman of the Finance Committee Investments All Moneys received at the Office and elsewhere on behalf of the College shall be paid to the account of the College with such Bank or Banks as the Council may appoint and so much of such moneys as shall be required for the
