58 FACULTY OF THEOLOGY Examinations are held three times year viz in the first week of December in the second week before Holy week and in the last week of July The next Examinations will be held at Kvufs College and other Centres at 30 on Thursday and Friday December Ist and 2nd 1898 The Subjects for Examination will be Greek XenophovUs Anabasis Book Latin Cicero De Senectutc Besides passages for translation from the selected books with questions on grammar in both Greek and Latin caxy sentences from other books Greek and Latin shall also be set for translation The Outlines of Scripture History The Gospel of St Luke in Greek for translation and interpretation The Outlines of English History The first two books of Euclid or Elementary Logic Special attention will be paid to English Composition In 1899 and 1900 the subjects will be Greek Xenophonls Anabasis Book IV Cicero De Amicitia The first book of Euclid including easy deductions or Elementary Logic The papers of previous Examinations can be obtained from Messrs Deighton Bell ώ Co Trinity Street Cambridge "price Is for each year The Examination will be dispensed with and Certificate granted in the case of those who can offer an equivalent The equivalents allowed are as follows The Oxford and Cambridge Senior Local Examin- ationfor Higher Certificates of the Oxford and Cambridge Joint Board the London University Matriculation provided that the candidates shall have passed in Latin and Greek Responsions at Oxford Previous examination at Cam- bridge Parts and II the first Examination after Matriculation in the University of Dublin Examination for the title of Associate in Arts of any of the twelve recognised University Colleges in England provided that in all cases the Candidate shall have passed in Lathi and Greek and that the
