450 EXHIBITIONS AND SCHOLARSHIPS rambroofee 3E1i ttttton s-jfncultp of Cijeologj Exhibitions not exceeding £20 ear for one or two years and payable out of the interest arising from the Legacy bequeathed to the College by the late Thomas Godfrey Sam- brooke Esq are granted to Matriculated Students of the Theology Faculty whose circumstances are shown to the satisfaction of the Principal to place them in need of pecuniary assistance and whom the Principal shall from time to time select Applications stating all circumstances to be made to the Principal on forms supplied in the office Founded by Maj -Gen Sir Henry Worsley 1834 for the Education of Missionaries to British India The Council from time to time elect one or two Scholars upon this foundation to whom instruction is given free of charge in every department of knowledge Medicine and Surgery included which may serve to qualify them for the discharge of their important office with stipend of £20 a-year each in aid of their maintenance so long as their studies shall be continued in the College and their conduct be approved by the Principal Security is required from the friends of these Scholars for the purpose of insuring their proceeding as Missionaries to India when their education shall be completed at which time application is made to the Society for Propagating the Gospe in Foreign Parts or to the Church Missionary Society to send them out as Missionaries on their Establishment The form of Security can be obtained by application to the Secretary
