41 The following are the dates of the commencement and termination of the terms in 1898-9 Faculties of Theology Arts Science and Law Commencement Termination Michaelmas Term Oct Dec Lent Jan 19 March 29 Easter Ap 27 July 13 Faculty of Medicine Winter Session Oct March 24 Summer Session May July 21 Ladies'1 Department Michaelmas Term Oct 17 Dec 23 Lent Jan 16 March 24 Easter May July School Michaelmas Term Sept 21 Dec 21 Lent Jan 18 April 12 Easter May Aug New students are admitted on the day previous to the commencement of the Term except in the Michaelmas Term when the admission is two days before New pupils in the School are admitted on the day previous to the opening of the School Ash Wednesday Ascension Day Whitsun Monday and the days appointed for the celebration of the Queen's and Prince of Wales's Birthdays are kept as Holidays in the College and School The Associateship of the College may be obtained under the rules laid down for the different Faculties The Office is open daily from 10 to o'clock except on Saturdays when it closes at Communications should be addressed to the Secretary King's College Strand London
