CIVIL SERVICE CLASSES 353 Terms and Hours -There are three terms in the year beginning about the usual times in January May September and each lasting from twelve to thirteen weeks Pupils will be admitted at the half-term for 5s more than half the term fees Hours -9 30 to 45 each day except Saturday when there are no Classes Extra Subjects Taught in the afternoon Shorthand Latin German 105 per term for each subject for the pupils of the Junior Section 15s for pupils of the Senior Section Individual instruction can be had in the afternoon in any of the subjects taught and in certain other subjects at the same fees Boarders -There are two Boarding Houses attached to these Classes kept by masters and therefore are directly under our supervision In one for the older Students the charge exclusive of the class fee is £16 10s per term and in the other £14 10s We can recommend lodgings not under our supervision where however parents may be sure their sons will be well cared for and where the charge ranges from £1 Is to 155 per week For particulars apply stating age and requirements to Messrs Braginton and Hinks King's College London Application for Admission -This should be made if pos- sible not less than ten days before the first day of the term on form which can be had on application Entrance Examination -On receipt of the application for admission the date of the Entrance Examination will be sent it is usually the Friday preceding the opening of the term The object of this Examination is to enable us to place pupils at once in the most suitable classes for the different subjects On receipt of the application for admis- sion information is also given as to payment of fees books stationery &c Books- These depend on Student's Classes for the different subjects and are supplied on entrance by us discount of from 26 to 3d in the shilling being allowed Cost from £1 to £1 6s if all are supplied with 5s stationery deposit ζ
