350 CIVIL SERVICE CLASSES No fee or portion of fee whether paid for one or two periods will be returned in any circumstances except that specially mentioned in this Calendar Boohs -On joining Students are given list of books used those required being distinguished from thgse recom- mended Students cannot avail themselves of the Class lectures without the books required They are strongly advised to get those recommended also as much time might be wasted in studying unsuitable text-books The books are kept in stock and can be obtained from the Hall Porter of the College at any time when the College is open discount of from 2d to 3d in the shilling is allowed Students are not obliged to purchase their books at the College This para- graph does not apply to Division Day Classes nor to any of the Correspondence Classes The work being progressive in all the subjects from the beginning to the end of the Course Students are advised to join these Classes if possible at the beginning of the Course ן י but there are admissions at short intervals for the dates of which see slip issued with the Prospectus In all the Classes the Home Work is set and examined The Lecturers attend about three-quarters of an hour before the commencement of their general Classes to give Parents and Students an opportunity of consulting them The former should call not less than twenty minutes before the Classes begin DIVISION The Evening Classes of this Division η re for those who have day employment and the course of work in them is arranged accordingly The Day Classes are intended for those who have no day employment and the work is arranged accordingly Every pupil attends every day except Saturday In the Day Classes therefore each subject is treated in more systematic con- secutive and complete manner Moreover in each subject broader view is taken of the work to be done Thus for the
