department for ladies 337 LEONARD POWNALL Medallist and Exhibitor Royal Academy of Arts Easter Term Tuesday and Friday 10 -12 30 These classes are arranged both as means for advanced Students who have been taught painting to take up landscape and also for elementary Students wishing to learn drawing with view to landscape sketching The Studio is open every day Saturdays excepted during Term time from 10 -4 The instruction includes the following -Landscape Painting Perspective Landscape Composition Painting of Still Life Flowers and Fruit Drawing from Casts of Plants Branches of Trees Special attention is given to the drawing of Tree Forms of which there is good repre- sentative collection Advanced Students may paint landscape pictures from their studies done during the summer Prizes are offered for annual competition in landscape and still life painting All materials can be obtained in the Studios Outdoor Landscape Class REGINALD VICAT COLE In addition to the Indoor Classes class is held in the country during July &rt Lectures REGINALD VICAT COLE Exhibitor Royal Academy &c Michaelmas Term Demonstrations on Landscape Art Tuesday Composition of landscapes Relation to tone and colour first sketch and its development into picture The laws of nature expressed in paintings by different methods Perspective and its application to landscape Landscape drawing for publication
