338 CIVIL SERVICE CLASSES periods of about ten weeks each There is mid-period ad- mission month after the beginning of each period when Students can join for the remainder of the period at two- thirds of the period fee or for the remainder of the period together with the next period for one and half times the period fee On the announcement of an Examination special admissions are arranged at fees terminating at the examina- tion Fees -These must be paid in advance New Students should send them if possible week before the beginning of the Course period &c so as to give time for arranging their work Fees can be sent by postal orderss money orders payable to Messrs Braginton and Hinks at General Post Office London or cheques crossed and payable to Messrs Braginton and Winks Remittances for books and stationery should when practicable be made when the fees are paid Ordinary Fees -For these Students will be taken through course of preparation in all the subjects of their Examina- ϋοη and as rule each subject will receive attention every week Students may also submit single questions connected or unconnected with the set course in any of the subjects Extra Fees -For these in addition to the above Students will be entitled to submit extra work extra papers and sets of questions in Arithmetic Book-keeping Composi- tion Geography History Handwriting Indexing Digesting Ueturns These will be corrected and in the case of Arith- metic and Book-keeping correct solutions will be given where the pupil has failed to obtain them The books &c from which extra work is to be chosen will be prescribed The extra papers may be on any of the subjects and may vary from week to week and provided the maximum number of papers be not exceeded more than one paper may be sent in the same week on the same subject The amount of work prescribed for the Ordinary Fees is such as may be done in the evenings by candidate who has some employment for seven or eight hours day If such
