330 civil service classes Students who have the whole of their time for preparation are recommended also to attend one evening week in Division II where the collective instruction of Division is sup- plemented by individual instruction This can be done by an additional payment of £1 175 for one period of ten weeks £3 3s for two such periods These periods correspond to those of the collective Classes which the Students attend Division II is particularly recommended to those who are very weak in Arithmetic and to those who have only short time for preparation If an intending Student be unable by reason of his business employment to attend at the beginning of the evening he should explain this to the Lecturers when special arrange- ments will be made for the work taken in his absence If Student be declared successful in his Civil Service Examination while attending these Classes the portion of his fee unexpired at the time of such declaration will be returned or transferred to another Class at his own option In the latter case the Student's attendance in the new Class can be deferred for time Fees are not returned in any other circumstances Inquiries respecting this Division should be addressed to Messrs Braginton and Hinks 91a Waterloo Road -SECOND DIVISION CLERKSHIPS including clerkships at customs outports See above for arrangements that are common to all Classes in Division Competitions for Second Division Clerkships may he ex- pected twice year but they are apt to be delayed All Students are recommended to attend two evenings week at least until they have reached an advanced stage of preparation But if they elect to attend one evening only all the subjects will be dealt with The General Classes meet from 45 to but it is gener- ally advisable to attend at 10 as there are short special classes at this hour free to all Students
