DEPARTMENT FOR LADIES 315 יי יל PROFESSOR ALBERT HOLDEN Exhibitor Royal Academy &c Assistant Master-Mr Thomas Speight Studios open from 10 till dusk daily except Saturdays Drawing and Painting Classes Tuesday 11-1 Thursday 10-12 Life Class Mondays Tuesdays and Thursdays 10-2 Sketch Club There is large and convenient Studio with good light for the accommodation of the Art Students who may enter for general course of training or any particular branch of Art Study Drawing Glass -Freehand and Model Drawing Ele- mentary Pictorial Perspective Ornamental Design Shading from the cast Study of the Antique Painting Glass -Still Life and Landscape in oil and water- colours Flowers and Fruit painting on china and other new decorative styles Life Class -Painting and Drawing from models in costume The model sits from 10-2 three days week Advanced students may by special permission of the Professor paint original pictures and pose their own models for this purpose in the Studio Sketch Club -Figure Landscape Design and Still Life subjects for original sketches for the year are given together with dates for criticism The object of this work is to teach composition and encourage original painting This class is free to Students working in the Studio and other Students may enter and attend the criticism upon payment of fee of 75 Demonstrations of painting are occasionally given by the Professor due notice of which will be posted on the notice board Prizes are offered for annual competition Colours paper canvas and all materials can be obtained in the Studio
