Clicntng Classes Classes for Evening Instruction are held in connection with tlie Faculties of Theology Arts and Science and the Departments of Bacteriology and Public Health and arc intended to provide similar instruction to that given in the day-time for those unable to attend the Day Classes but who wish to carry on their general education or to prepare for the various Examinations in Arts Science Laws and Mum of the University of London or to fit themselves for the various professions in connection with Engineering Archi- tecture and other applied Sciences Evening Class Students are eligible to compete for the following Prizes and Certificates for proficiency are given under the Rules in force in the various Faculties Examina- tions are held at the close of the Winter Session Three Prizes in Science given by the Clothworkers' Company of the value of £5 each Prizes given by the Clothworkers' Company Prize of £2 105 in Books for Metal Work £2 10s in Books for Wood Work and Prizes of £3 and £2 for Design Medals and Book Prizes by the Carpenters1 Company for Architecture Building Construction &c Cates Medal for Architecture Barry Prize for Divinity Trench Prize for Greek Testament Stephen Prize for an English Essay Carter Prize for English Original Verse Carter Prize for Botany 10 le Maistre Prize for an English Essay 11 Tennant Prize for Geology 12 Tennant Prize for Mineralogy 13 Jelf Medal 14 Class Prizes and Certificates
