Candidates must give in their names to the Dean of the Medical Faculty at least throe clear days before the exami- nation No Student shall be permitted to hold two offices at the Hospital at the same time except with the authority of the Dean No Student shall be allowed to fill the office of Clinical lerk or Dresser to Physician or Surgeon to In-patients unless lie shall have previously passed the Anatomy and Physiology Examination of tho Conjoint Board or an equivalent Tho appointments of Out-patients' Clinical Clerks and Dressers will he given to those Students in order of merit who have worked most diligently in the Anatomical and Physiological Departments and In-patient Clerks and Dressers will he selected according to the diligence with which they have performed their previous duties at the Hospital Special Certificates will be given to each Student who shall have filled any office in King's College Hospital to the satis- faction of the Medical Officer or Officers under whom he may have served Application for such certificates must he made to the Dean on the expiration of the period of service No Student shall receive certificate who has not attended regularly during the entire six months of his appointment If from any cause any gentleman shall be obliged to resign his appointment he shall immediately give notice in Writing both to the Dean of the Medical Faculty and to the Warden of the Hospital If vacancy should occur in the office of Physician's Assistant during the usual period of time for which it is held the Assistant House Physician shall succeed to the appoint- ment tor the time of office still unexpired provided he ρ ο 8- sesscs the proper qualification and complies with tho conditions laid down in the Calendar relating to the Phv- sieian's Assistant and that the Physicians of the Hospital severally certify that he is suitable officer for the appoint- ment The Assistant House Accoucheur is promoted to the office of Physician-Accoucheur's Assistant under similar circumstances and conditions If these conditions be not complied with the vacancies in the above appointment wil be filled up by examination in the usual way
