198 FACULTY OF MEDICINE "The Secretary King's College or "The Dean of the Medical Faculty King's College The Dean is in attendance from the 10th of September and during the Medical Sessions from 10-11 every day except Saturday for the purpose of receiving and advising Students signing Cards of Admission Certificates and Schedules attending to the discipline of the Faculty and generally conducting under the Principal all the business connected therewith The Students received into this Faculty are- Matriculated Students those who receive their entire Medical education at King's College and those who after having received portion of their Medical educa- tion at other Schools come to King's College to complete their Studies Matriculated Medical Students are alone eligible for the following Hospital offices viz Clinical Clerks Dressers Dental Surgeon's Assistant Ophthalmic Clinical Assistants for Diseases of the Throat Eye and Ear Physician's Assistant Assistant House Physician Physician Accoucheur's Assist- ants Assistant Houseי Accoucheur and House Surgeons also for the Warneford Sambrooke Rabbeth and Medical Scholarships for the Sambrooke Registrarships and for the Warneford Leathes Todd Tanner and Jelf Prizes All Students who are elected to resident appointments at the Hospital have Rooms and Commons free II Non-matriculated Students are those who enter for particular Classes or for Hospital Practice Every Class or Hospital Practice for any special time is open for such Students on payment of the prescribed amount of fees They are allowed to compete for Class Prizes and Certificates The Academical Year is divided into two Sessions The Winter Session will begin on October 189G and end on March 26 1897 The Summer Session will begin on May 1897 and end on July 23 The Christmas Vacation will begin on December 23 1890 and end 011 January 1897
