01 ur DRAFT CHARTER OF THE GRESHAM UNIVERSITY llX There shall be representative members from time to time rs a- the lor ur nominated or elected as follows that is to say Three members nominated by the Council of University College London to represent that College Tnree members nominated by the Council of King's College London to represent that College One member nominated by each of the above-named Colleges of Medicine to represent that College i'0r Four members elected by each of the assemblies of the Faculties of Arts Science Law and Medicine to represent hat Faculty In case the Council of Legal Education established by the bur Inns of Court and the Incorporated Law Society of the United Kingdom shall at any time both signify to the Chancellor their desire to be represented on the Council they hall each be entitled to nominate one member in which ase however the number of members representing the acuity of Law shall be reduced to two as vacancies irise Upon the granting of this Our Charter the Chancellor shall orthwith take all necessary steps to cause the Assemblies of he Faculties to be designated and the Council to be consti- uted as herein provided and shall with all convenient speed all the Council together to hold their first meeting Except as in this Our Charter provided every member of he Council shall hold office for the term of five years and hall be capable of re-nomination or re-election Any member ho shall become incapacitated to act or shall notify his ber 3signation to the Council or shall for the space of two years onsecutively be absent from all meetings of the Council 1all thereupon cease to be member of the Council The Acts of the Council shall not be invalidated by the dstence of any vacancy among its members On any vacancy caused by one of the persons hereinbefore ominated to be member from the date of this Our Charter any successor of his ceasing to be member of the Council te Lord President of Our Council shall nominate successor ccept that the Convocation of the University may in place an old ball irst by and ncil bis ×–
