616 THE SCHOOL Ε falters1 Hntbcrsity l£xi ibttton Founded by the Salters' Company of London and to be oontinued during the pleasure of the Court The Exhibition is of the value of £80 per annum and is tenable for four years The next award will be made in July 1896 on the results of the Midsummer Examinations in the Science teaching of the School Candidates must be sons of British subjects and must not exceed nineteen years of age on July 15 of the year in which the Examination takes place and must have been at least three academical years in the School If in the Examination the son of Freeman of the Salters' Compan shall be found of equal merit with any other Candidate such son of Freeman shall have the preference Each Exhibitioner must matriculate within twelve months after the award at Oxford Cambridge London Durham or Victoria University and failing his so doing the Exhibition will be forfeited and again thrown open to competition Payment of the half-year's Exhibition due will be made on application at the Clerk's office any day after the 8th of January and 8th of July in each year Before payment of the allowance each half-year Cer- tificate must be produced to the Court of the Company from the Tutor or other authority of the College to which the Exhibitioner belongs that he has duly conformed to the regulations thereof In case the Exhibition is held at the University of London the several payments will be made only on the production of Certificates or other proof of the Exhibitioner having passed the following Examinations viz
