274 faculty of medicine late Dr Hooper and Green Esq and is being continually added to by the Professors old pupils and other friends of the College The collection of specimens illustrating the comparative anatomy of animals is extensive though still requiring many additions to make it complete type collection This is notably the case with the Crustacea specimens to illustrate which wall be gratefully acknowledged by the Curator The Materia Medica Collection large portion of which was presented by the Worshipful Company of Apothecaries by the late Sir Halford Bart by Messrs Savory Moore and Messrs Howard is kept up to date The Natural History part of the Museum is open during the same hours to Medical students to students of the Science Faculty and to Evening Class Students Students wishing to handle any of the specimens must obtain an order for such permission which must be signed by the Dean of the Faculty the Curator having authority to withhold such permission if he think necessary LABORATORIES Practical Chemistry -The instruction in this Departments conducted by Professor Thomson and his Demonstrators in spacious Laboratories with complete arrangements for the pursuit of all branches of Chemical Investigation by the Senior Pupils and for the practical study of Elementary Analysis by those less advanced The Laboratories are open daily from 10 to except on Saturdays from October until about the end of Juty with short recess at Christmas and at Easter Physical Laboratory under the superintendence of Professor Adams There is large and valuable collection of apparatus which is used in illustration of the lectures and is also available for Laboratory practice gas-engine and dynamo
