204 faculty of science -Animal Biology The Course consists of Sixty Lectures delivered during the Winter Session and has for its prime object presentation of an exact knowledge of the elements of the science based on precise acquaintance with the characters of selected types The Lectures are so arranged as to comply with the neces- si ties of the Students who are working for the examinations of the University of London and of those who devoting themselves especially to Anthropotomy desire to make them- selves acquainted with the morphology of the Vertebrata In accordance with this object the after-Christmas portion of the Course will consist of general review of the characters of the In vertebrata and special study of the Vertebrata The Museum is open to all Students of the class and the Professor will give advice as to the necessary modes of studying the specimens which have bearing on the subject 11 10 -Vegetable Biology and Botany In these Lectures the organisation of Plants is demonstrated their physiology explained and the different modes of classi- fication described The subjects treated of are illustrated by fresh and dried specimens of Plants and by large collection of Drawings and Diagrams The Pupils have free admission to ×™ the Royal Botanic Society's Gardens in the Regent's Park and have thus every opportunity afforded them of acquiring practical knowledge of Plants 12 -Physical Geography Monday from 30 to 30 Syllabus See Syllabus of the Faculty of Arts page 122 13 -Logic and Mental Philosophy Lectures are given in these subjects on Wednesdays from to See page 121
