182 FACULTY OF SCIENCE Machine Shop First Term -Chipping-filing-scraping-scribing block &c Second Term -Turning-planing machine-shaping ma- chine-slotting machine-milling machine &c Students will in the Machine shop for the most part be engaged in making and preparing apparatus and test speci- mens for their future use in the laboratory The ten best students in the Michaelmas and Lent Examinations will if far enough advanced in their workshop work be admitted into the Laboratory during the Easter Term Materials Tools &c -The cost of materials for the ordinary course in both Laboratory and Workshops wall be covered by fee of £1 Is charged on entry For those who do not enter for whole year the fee will be 7s 6d per Term Extra materials beyond the ordinary course or damage done to machines or apparatus by the carelessness of students will be charged for separately Tools may be obtained through the College at the following prices Carpenter's tools per set including box £3 3s Fitter's מ מ £1 5s Non-Matriculated and Advanced Students -Both Work- shops and Laboratory are open to students desiring to enter without matriculation to pursue special lines of study or research on payment of the following fees- Not exceeding three days per week Per Term or its equivalent eighteen hours £4 4$ per week Per Year £10 10s Six days per wreek £6 6s £15 15s Tools as above All Materials charged for as used
