FACULTY OF ARTS 137 VIIT THE ASSOCIATESHIP Every Candidate for this distinction- Must have been regular in his attendance at the Divi- nity Lectures and must have passed the periodical Examinations in this subject satisfactorily Exemption from this rule will be granted in the case of Foreigners on request from their Parents or Guardians to the Principal II Must have pursued his studies as Matriculated itudent of this Faculty for nine Terms This period is reduced to six Terms in the case of those who have passed three Terms previously in the Faculty of Science or who have passed two years previously in King's College School and had spent at least one Term in the highest class before leaving provided also they have passed with distinction the Examination held at the time of their entering the College III Must produce Certificate of proficiency in study as evinced by at least two Certificates of Distinction or four Certificates of Merit gained in different subjects IV Must apply in writing to the Dean of the Faculty 10t later than June 15 stating the claims and qualifications fhich he then possesses fee of £1 Is is charged for the Diploma VI Students of this Faculty who have obtained the diploma of an Associate are in addition to the usual privi- 3ges of Associates see page 697 entitled to pay lower 3es for the Faculty of Theology See Theol Fac page 86
