FACULTY OF ARTS 131 Pupils who have attained the age of Sixteen have passed two years in King's College School and have spent at least one Term in the highest class before leaving it are allowed upon their Entrance to this Faculty to take rank with Students of the Fourth Term Personal application must be made at the time of entrance to the Secretary in order to secure this advantage Such Students in all competitions for Prizes will be considered as belonging to the Second year There is an Examination every year for all Students at the end of the xMichaelmas and Easter Terms At these Examina- tions the Students are classed according to their proficiency At the close of each Easter Term Prizes and Certificates are awarded according to the following rules In each Class there will be offered Prize or Certificate of Honour to the Student who shall be highest in the examination provided he shall gain not less than three-fourths of the marks allotted to the subject Certificates of Distinction One Certificate to each of the Students next in succession who shall gain not less than three-fourths of the marks allotted to the subject Certificates of Merit One Certificate to each of the Students next in succession who shall gain not less than three-fifths of the marks allotted to the subjects No Prize or Certificate is given except for absolute merit nor to any Student who has not entered at least upon his Second Term detailed Report is sent at the end of each term to the parents or guardians of each Student both as to his progress in particular studies and as to his general conduct during the Term tom&m$M ז rd fy ww Non-Matriculated Students or those who beiag unable to attend the whole course are desirous of studvin2 ι
