70 THEOLOGICAL DEPARTMENT No Student can be admitted to the Morning Division under 21 years of age or to the Evening Division undei 20 years οί' age except by the special permission of the Principal Students are admitted in October January and April each year One week at least before the entrance examination Candidates for admission must send in to the Principal on printed form to be obtained from the Secretary of the College an application stating their age and other circumstances and containing Certificate of good moral and religious character from the Clergyman of their parish or of the church which they have usually attended as well as the names of one or more friends to whom the Candidate is well known as referees Previously to Matriculation each Student must declare that he is member of the Church of England and that he will conform to all the rules and regulations of the College Gentlemen desiring to join this Department and need- ing any information are requested to communicate with the Vice-Principal who λνίΐΐ bo found in his College rooms at every Wednesday in Term Mi III course of study The studies in this Department are directed in accordance with the following arrangements respecting Ordination Ex- animations which have been agreed to by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York and nearly all the English Bishops 111 That the same Special Subjects for Examination be re- quired from Candidates for Deacon's Orders in the Old Testament New Testament Ecclesiastical History Latin and
