566 THE SCHOOL The Matriculation Examination The First Examina tion of Candidates for Degree The Final Examinatio for Degree The following- Regulation established by the Court applie to this Exhibition viz That one of the conditions upon which the Scholar at any University or College shall hold his Exhibi- tion and receive the advantages arising therefrom shall be That during the whole of the time he shall continue at the University or College in which he may have matriculated or entered he shall well and properly conduct himself thereat and shall with due diligence pursue his studies for the purpose of qualifying himself to graduate at the University to which he belongs with honour to the founders of the Exhibition and credit to himself and the School from which he proceeds Names of Exhibitioners 1880 Smith Andrew Halliday 1884 Cargill Lionel Vernon 1888 Austin Robert Frederick Sbfcumers' CDompanj inhibition Founded by the Skinners' Company of London and to be continued during the pleasure of the Court The Exhibition is of the value of £50 per annum and is tenable for four years This Exhibition is awarded according to the results of the Midsummer Examination in linguistic knowledge Each Candidate is allowed to offer any three of the follow- ing subjects English Latin Greek French German No one will be eligible who already holds an Exhibition in the School and no one who has not been at least one full
