552 the school precincts and on no account to go beyond them except in the case of those permitted for special reasons to leave at the dinner hour Applications for such permission must be made in writing to the Head Master and the permission must be renewed from term to term Any boy who wishes to obtain leave of absence from the School under any circumstances of unusual importance or necessity is required to bring note from his Parent or Guardian stating the cause to the Head Master who if he approves will grant him an Exeat but the Council strongly object to applications for absence being made except under circumstances of unusual importance or of necessity it is serious offence for boy to be absent except through illness without the Head Master's permission If it is desired that boy should on any special occa- sion leave School before the usual hour request to this effect must be sent to the Head Master Boys absent from illness even for single morning or afternoon must bring note with them on their return stating the fact of their illness to their Form Master 10 Letters addressed to boys in the School are recorded on Slate kept by the Gate-keeper and application must be made to him for them Should it be very important that boy should receive letter immediately or during School it must be sent under cover to the Head Master and marked Immediate 11 In the case of boy recovering from contagious disease medical certificate must be sent to the Head Master before the day on which it is proposed to send him back cn receipt of which the Head Master will authorise his return 12 Boys are required to attend the School till the Vacations commence and to return punctually when they close nor can this rule be relaxed except in cases of unavoidable necessity
