486 WORKSHOP EVENING CLASSES For the Cicero Virgil or Xenophon subjects any books of corresponding length and difficulty may be substituted by consent of the Principal ENTRANCE EXAMINATION The following Evening Classes are arranged in preparation for the Entrance Examination viz Winter Summer Latin Mon and Thurs to Friday 30 Greek to Monday to Greek Test Wednesday to Tuesday The fees are £ lis 6d each class for the Winter Session and £118 for the Summer Session Any gentlemen desiring to join this Department and needing information are requested to communicate with the Vice Principal who may be found in his College Rooms at on Wednesdays ENGINEERING WORKSHOPS AND LABORATORY FOR PRACTICAL INSTRUCTION IN WOOD AND IRON WORK As applied to Building and Engineering Construction Mondays and Wednesdays from to The Evening Workshop classes are intended to give in- struction in the use of tools and machines Special courses are arranged for those who are attending the evening class of Mechanical Engineering including steam engine trials testing of materials &c The Workshops include Carpenter's Shop Machine Shop and Smith's Shop All machines are driven by steam power and the shafting is carried underground
