DEPARTMENT FOR LADIES 395 Lent Term The structure and life histories of Pin us Selaginella Fein Penicillium Fucus Vaucheria Spirogyra Yeast Bacteria Easter Term The uses of special modifications in the structure aud form of plants The principles of Classification Fee £1 for each Term -These lectures will be illustrated by microscopic preparations diagrams and plants PRACTICAL BOTANY Mondays 3-5 Φ Professor Groves In this class each student will have an opportunity of examining for herself the various structures &c described in the previous lecture She will also be taught how to conduct microscopic examinations Fee £2 2s per Term The Lectures and Practical Class will include all the work required for the Intermediate Science London Pass Examina- tion in the Vegetable portion of Biology thus affording systematic and thorough groundwork for further Botanical Study Books &c will be recommended in the first lecture Each student will have the use of microscope
