322 MEDICAL DEPARTMENT They shall serve for Six Months shall attend regularly at the hours appointed and act under the direction of the Surgeon Dentist In-Patient Dressers There shall be twelve In-Patient Dressers four for each In-Patient Surgeon and one for Mr Barrow's In-Patients Candidates must have filled the office of Out-Patient Dresser and have attended six months' In- Patient Clinical practice In addition to the above Γη-Patient Dressers Senior Dresser is appointed by each Surgeon The viva voce examination for Senior Dresser shall be principally in Anatomy the written one in Surgery having particular reference to the nature of In-Patient Surgery Candidates shall also if required take case or cases chosen by the Surgeons from patients in the house at the time of examination In-Patient Dressers shall dress and register the caseg admitted into the Hospital under the direction of the Surgeon or House Surgeon In every surgical case upon which post-mortem exami- nation is held the Dresser under whose care the patient has been shall immediately after the holding of such examination furnish an abstract of the case to the Pathological Registrar Each Dresser shall also furnish the Registrar with an abstract of every case under his care in which specimen is preserved for the purposes of the Museum Accident Dresser -The following are the duties assigned to him The order of Attendance for Dressers to act as Accident Dresser is controlled by the House Surgeon who is re sponsible for the conduct of the Department It is the especial duty of the Accident Dresser to remain in the Hospital from 10 to 30 within easy call of the Hall Porter for the express purpose of receiving and promptly attending to every accident case brought to the Hospital
