MEDJCAL DEPARTMENT 299 And must produce certificates from the Committee of the Hospital of good conduct and from the Dean of the Medical Department of having satisfactorily performed his duties whilst holding any of the above appointments VII No one is to be re-elected to second year of office unless the Committee of the Hospital shall certify to his good conduct in the Hospital during his past year of service and the Dean of the Medical Department to the proper discharge of his duties during the same period VIII The Registrars are to attend daily at the Hospital and are to enter their names on the attendance sheet of the Medical and Surgical Staff in the Board Room IX In addition to the usual short Abstract of every Hos- pital Case recorded each Registrar is to record at the least during each year of his service Ten Medical or Ten Surgical Cases of an important character severally noted and prepared for publication together with reports of post-mortem Exami- nations and results of Chemical and Microscopical Investi- gations with Drawings After these cases have been examined by the Physician or Surgeon they are to be certified by the Dean and may be published XI The expense of all books and papers necessary to carry out the objects and intentions herein expressed is to be paid for out of the surplus income arising from the Endowment Fund after payment of the sum due to the two Registrars and in case there be at any time any surplus over 100 the same may be invested as convenient for increasing the Endowment Fund XII The appointment of Registrars is vested in the Council of vine's College London
