74 theological department VI EXAMINATIONS AND FINAL TESTAMUR Before receiving the Final Testamur each Student is required to satisfy the Principal and the Professors in the subjects specified in the arrangements of the Bishops for Ordination Examinations as stated on 70 as well as in the other Theological Instruction he has received during his course Examinations are held at the end of each Term and students are specially examined at the close of their third and sixth Terms One of the special subjects of the Examination at close of the Third Term in the Morning Classes is the Greek Text of the Gospels and the Acts of the Apostles and at the end of the Sixth Term the Greek Text of the Epistle to the Romans the First and Second Epistles to the Corinthians and the Epistle to the Hebrews In the Evening Classes students are specially examined at the close of their first year in the first three Gospels and at the end of their second year before joining the Morning Classes in the Gospel of St John and the Acts To each Student who has merited such distinction by his attainments and by his good character during the period of his studies in King's College and who subscribes to the Thirty-nine Articles is given the Diploma of Theological Associate with Certificate from the Principal of attain- ments and conduct to be exhibited for the satisfaction of any Bishop to whom such Student may apply to be admitted as Candidate for Holy Orders The two Archbishops and most of the Bishops admit as Candidates for Holy Orders those Students who have received the College Associateship and Certificate VII BOOKS RECOMMENDED The following List of Books is recommended to the Theo- logical Students of King's College as containing those most
