xliv REPORT training in the Mathematical Division of the School is admirably adapted as grounding for this School it is hoped that many boys will pass through this division into the Electrical Engineering Department as they do already into the Mechanical Engineering Department The Bishop of Marlborough held the Annual Confirmation in the Chapel last November when 24 candidates were presented from the School The special services which wrere held at the end of the Michaelmas and Lent Terms were unusually well attended- the preacher on the former occasion being Professor Ince Canon of Christ Church and on the latter occasion the Rev Nagel The work and general life of the School have shown very gratifying vigour it may be mentioned as one instance of this that the School Magazine has been revived and that the Debates of the Literary Union have been excellently attended The general discipline of the School has been in all respects most satisfactory List of Honours gained during the year 1889 OXFORD AND CAMBRIDGE Oxford White Η Α Β Fellow of New College First Class in Honour School of Theology the only First Class Lord Keble College First Class Final Natural Science Hildesheim Ρ St J0hnJs College Second Class Jurisprudence Landon Lincoln College Second Class in Final Classical Honours Paine "Wadham College Fourth Class in Final Classical Honours Austin Heron Exhibition University College
