THE SCHOOL 527 Boys in the higher Forms are prepared for the Commercial Certificate granted by the Oxford and Cambridge Schools Examination Board or for the Examination prescribed by the London Chamber of Commerce rי ו ν ץ -The Lower Division This Division is intended to give all boys thorough grounding in elementary work The regular course of instruction includes English History Geography Latin French Arithmetic and Elementary Mathematics All boys learn Writing to which special attention is made Drawing and Vocal Music and are regularly drilled Religious instruction is given in alt Classes of the School except in cases where exemption is granted by the Head Master at the special request of Parents Boys in any Division of the Upper School can attend the College workshops for manual training or the College Labo- ratory for practical instruction in Chemistry at small extra charge II natural science Lecturer-H Tomlinson Courses of Lectures are delivered each term on some branch of Natural Science These Lectures are attended by certain classes in the Mathematical and Commercial Divisions they see experi- ments performed and are required to give written account of each Lecture
