318 medical department He shall report to the Dean of the Medical Department by the 1st of January and the 1st of July respectively the attendance of Students on Midwifery cases Assistant House-Accoucheur -The subjects of the cxamina- tion for this oifice are the same as those required lor the office of Physician-Accoucheur's Assistant He shall have served the office of In Patient Clinical Clerk for the Phy- sician for Diseases of Women and Children and Physician- Accoucheur or Out-Patient Clerk to the Assistant Physician for Diseases of Women and Children He shall unless specially exempted by the Committee of the Hospital reside in the Hospital No Student is eligible to enter on the duties of this office at period later than five years and half from the time of his Matriculation or year of standing see page 2G2 in tho Medical Department or six years and half if he have passed the Primary the Intermediate Examination of London or the corresponding Examination of any British University Candidates ma ν be admitted to examination for this office before they have obtained their diplomas to practice medicin but will not be allowed to enter upon their duties until such diplomas have been obtained Oat-Patient Dressers -There shall be eighteen Out-Patient Dressers six for each Assistant-Surgeon They shall attend punctually on the days of the Surgeon under whom they may be serving for the purpose of dressing patients in the Surgery and registering the patients under the direction of the Surgeon or Assistant Surgeon in attendance Dental Surgeon's Assistants -There shall be two Assistants to the Dental Surgeon from among those Pupils who shall have attended with regularity the Dental Practice of the Hospital These appointments are open to Students studying for the Dental Diploma of the College of Surgeons as μ ell as to Matriculated Students
