314 MEDICAL DEPARTMENT conditions laid down in the Calendar relating to the Phy sieian's Assistant and that the Physicians of the Hospital severally certify that he is suitable officer for the appoint- ment The Assistant House Accoucheur is promoted to the office of Physician-Accoucheur's Assistant under similar circumstances and conditions If these conditions be nor complied with the vacancies in the above appointments will be filled up by examination in the usual way Should vacancy occur in any office held by Student at the Hospital except that of Physician's Assistant or Physician-Accoucheur's Assistant it will be filled up for the unexpired term in the usual way Out-Patient Medical Clerks -There shall be eighteen Out- Patient Medical Clerks four for each Assistant-Physician- except in the case of the Assistant-Physician for Diseases of Women and Children who shall have six three of whom will hold office for three months and the other three for the remaining three months They shall have diligently attended six months'Medical Practice The Clerks shall attend regu- larly at the respective hours and on the days of the Phy- sician under whom they are appointed They shall register and prescribe in turn for the Out-Patients under the direction of their respective Physicians The Clerks to the Assistant Physician for the Diseases of Women and Children shall when they have become instructed by attending lectures on Midwifery take part with the Assistant House Accoucheur and the Clerk to the Physician for Diseases of Women and Children in attending Midwifery cases In-Patient Medical Clinical Clerks -There shall be eight Medical In-Patient Clinical Clerks Candidates must have served the office of Out-Patient Clerk for the period of six months and have attended six months' In-Patient Medical practice Medical In-Patient Clinical Clerks shall attend regularly at the hour appointed accompany the Physician during his visit and keep correct report of ail the cases belonging to the Physician under whom they respectively serve
