Γ MEDICAL DEPARTMENT Every Student must at the beginning of each Session make application to the Dean for written order for admission to such College Lectures as he requires to Hospital Practice and to whichever Surgical Clinical Course he proposes to attend This order will be exchanged in the Secretarv's office for card of admission which must after- wards be signed first by the Dean and secondly by the respective Professors Leave of absence from Lectures or Hospital Practice can be obtained from the Dean of the Medical Department alone to whom in case of sickness or other unavoidable ause of non-attendance written notice is to be immediate sent '- י The attendance of each Student at Lectures is regularly marked At the close of each division of the Winter Ses- sion and at the close of the Summer Session the Dean prepares Report of the attendance general character and conduct of each Student which is forwarded to his Parent or Guardian after being submitted to and signed by the Prill cipal copy of these reports is kept for future reference The Medical Library is open daily to all Students of this Department for the purposes of study see page 255 they also have the use of the General Library see page 581 limited number of Students are admitted to reside within the College see page 582 There is Dining Hall in the College for the accommodation of Resident and other Students of the College see page 588 Boxes are provided in the Corridors and in the Anatomical Department of the College in which Students may keep their Caps and Gowns Books &c See page 589 Books and Stationery of all kinds may be obtained in the Secretary's office
