182 SCHEME FOR SENIOR COMMERCIAL EDUCxVTION EXAMINATION At the age of 18 or over and aftqr having passed the examination for the Junior Certificate youth should pass an examination as follows Compulsory subjects Two of the five following Modern Foreign Languages French German Spanish Portuguese Italian preferably including one beyond French or German Mathematics Commercial Geography Commercial History Optional Subjects -Latin and One subject from each of the following groups or three from one of them Commerce Commercial and Industrial Law Banking and Insurance Mechanics and Hydrostatics Physics Chemistry Mineralogy and Petrology Metallurgy ן Botany Zoology Λ Microscopic Manipulation Drawing Freehand or Geometrical or Mechanical or Designing or Photography For passing this examination youth should receive Higher Commercial Certificate" on which should be entered the subjects in which he has "passed and those in which he has particularly distinguished himself
