28 1885 John Edward Rabbeth Esq of Middleton Lodge Putney the sum of £681 15s New South Wales per cent Stock for the purpose of founding an annual Scholarship of the value of £20 in memory of his son Samuel Rabbeth Lond former distinguished student of the School and Medical Department who sacrificed his life in an attempt to save child who was dying from Diphtheria 1887 Edgar Marsh Crookshank the sum of £l 0C0 for the purpose of providing Laboratory for Bacteriology ENDOWMENTS The Council will be glad to receive under Clause 18 of the King's College Act 1882 any sum that may be offered to them for the endowment in whole or in part of any Scholarship or Professorship or for any of the general purposes of the College Information may be obtained from the Principal or the Secretary as to the particular Endowments most needed by the College FORM OF BEQUEST TO KING'S COLLEGE LONDON give to the Corporation of King's College London" the Sum of Pounds for the general purposes of the said Corporatism or for the foundation of Scholarships and Prizes open to the whole College or limited to any particular Department to be paid exclusively out of such part of my Personal Estate as can lawfully charge therewith and desire that the said Sum of Pounds be paid free of all deductions to the Treasurer for the time being the said Corporation whose Receipt shall be full and sufficient discharge for the same
