evening classes 451 The open Prizes consist of the "Trench" for Greek Testa- ment the "McCaul" for Hebrew the "Stephen for an English Essay the "Carter" for English Original Verse and the "Carter" for Botany See particulars under these separate headings in the Calendar XV The Associateship of King College London Rules under which this rank is granted to Students of this Department Every Candidate on entrance must satisfy the Principal of his fitness for admission II The Candidate can then select one of the following groups of subjects see Section XVI which are adapted for special professions or if none of these fall in with the require- ments of the Candidate he may subject to the approval of the Dean follow special course of study III Regular and punctual attendance see Section XVII on twelve Courses of Lectures in not less than two subjects in addition to three Winter Courses of Divinity Student must attend in each Winter Session Divinity and at least two other subjects but Writing Drawing Shorthand Vocal Music Public Reading and Speaking will not count The attendance must extend over period embracing at least three Winter Sessions except in the case of Students entering after Christmas who may reckon their time from the beginning of the Winter Session Credit will not be given for an attendance on more than four Classes exclusive of Divinity in any one Session Winter or Summer The Matriculation Fees must be paid at the com- mencement of the first Winter Session except with the special consent of the Principal
