294 MEDICAL DEPARTMENT XXI College £bcj 0lar$i ips GENERAL ROLES Good conduct and regular attendance upon Lectures Examinations and Hospital Practice are indispensable for the admission of any Student to be Candidate for Scholar ship in this College and all Candidates must have complied with the General Rules laid down in the Calendar pages 63 66 for the guidance of Matriculated Students Candidates forthe Junior Scholarships are required to have obtained certificate of regular attendance on the Divinity lectures and of having passed one of the Terminal Examinations mentioned at page 236 Clause second certificate will be required for the Second year or Senior Scholarship This Regulation shall not affect Students who have been exempted from attendance on those Lectures by the Prin- cipal but such Students shall be required to take up an additional subject to be selected by him Every Scholarship is held subject to the condition laid down in Clause and subject to forfeiture for mis- conduct In case there should be no candidate of sufficient merit in any year the Scholarship of that year will not be awarded Student preparing for the Preliminary Scientific Examination at the University of London and not attending the Lectures on Anatomy or Physiology and not engaged in the Dissecting room during the first Winter and Summer Sessions will be admissible to examination for the Junior Scholarships at the end of his second Winter and Summer Sessions and will in all respects rank as first year's man These Scholarships can be held only so long as the Scholar continues to attend Lectures as Matriculated Student in King's College See General Rules pp 63-66
