252 MEDICAL DEPARTMENT Books except text-booksand large books of plates may betaken out of the Library forthe purposes of study All books so lent out must be brought back to the Librarian at the end of week from the day of is sue Any Student who keeps book or books beyond the specified time willincur fine of two-pence per day for each volume and ne other work will be issued to him until this fine is paid Bookis kept in which Students may enter the titles of any works they may wish to have added to the Library These if approver by the Library Committee are ordered TheStudents have the privilege of examining the collections ofbones and of consulting books of plates kept in the Library but neither bones nor plates re allowed to be taken out of the Library CHEMICAL LABORATORY Two Laboratories have been fitted up in the College pro- vided with an extensive collection of chemical preparations and apparatus and with every convenience for the attainment of knowledge of Practical Chemistry and forthe prosecution of scientific researches One of the Laboratories is especially arranged for the class of Practical Chemistry and is open during the Winter for two hours twice a-week and during the Summer for two hours three times a-week See page 239 Students desirous of devoting further time to the pursuits of Practical Chemistry may also become Pupils in the Laboratory under the superintendence of the Professor and of the Demonstrator of Chemistry by entering themselves at the Secretary's Office For the principal subjects to which atten- tion is given see page 240 For Fees see page 263 The Laboratory is open daily from 10 til except on Saturdays when it closes at VI Laboeatory of Comparative Pathology and Bacteriology spacious Laboratory has been fitted up in the College provided with an extensive collection of pathological material and bacteriological apparatus and with every con- venience for obtaining knowledge of Bacteriology and for the prosecution of original research
