158 department OF science 11 -Logic and Metaphysics Lectures are given in these subjects on Wednesdays from to III regulations respecting students The days fixed for the admission of new Students in the Academical Year 1889-90 are Tuesday October Wednes- day January 15 and Wednesday April 16 All new Students are examined on their joining this Depart- ment in Euclid Books 1L Arithmetic and Elementary Algebra including Simple Equations with the view of ascer- taining that they are sufficiently advanced to enable them to take advantage of the College classes The Principal and Professors have the power of sending back for time any who may be considered disqualified for admission II The regular work of the Term will begin on Thursday October Thursday January 16 and Thursday April 17 must of absence is obtained beforehand Principal Half-term to the Secretary in writing of the removal of Student from the College This notice must be given before the close of the first half of the term in which Student is to leave and if not so given the payment of Half-term's fees will be required In 1889-90 the Half-terms will end on November February 18 and May 24 IV The Students received into this Department are Matriculated Students or those admitted to the regular and full prescribed course of study
