the school 499 Religious instruction is given in all Classes of the School except in cases where exemption is granted by the Head Master at the special request of Parents Boys in any Division of the Upper School can attend the College workshops for manual training or the College Labo- ratory for practical instruction in Chemistry small extra charge II natural science Lecturer-H Tomlinson ourses of Lectures are delivered each term on sonic branch of Natural Science These Lectures are attended by the boys in the Middle School they see experiments performed and are required to ive written account of each Lecture III chemistry Professor-J Thomson Demonstrator-S Johnson Assistant Demonstrator-Herbert Jackson Class of Practical and Theoretical Chemistry is also formed to enable pupils to become acquainted with the ele- ments of the Science The fees for the Practical Class are from £1 6d to £2 2s per Term The Theoretical Lectures are free and open to all boys approved of by the Head Master Boys intending to compete for Science Scholarships or other Science Kxaminations are advised to join the Analytical Laboratory For particulars and fees see page 233
