332 DEPARTMENT FOR LADIES Special Course of Ten Lectures on the WORKS OF RICHARD WAGNER Will be delivered by Carl Armbruster Esq Monda mornings at 11 during the Michaelmas Term of 1888 commencing on October 15th 1888 Numerous vocal and instrumental illustrations of the work will be performed by eminent artists Lecture -Rienzi The Flying Dutchman Lecture II -Tannhauser Lecture III -Lohengrin Lecture IV -Tristan and Isolde Lecture -The Mastersingers of Nurnberg Lectures VI VII VIII IX -The Ring of the Niblung Lecture -Parsifal Fridays 10-30 to 12-30 Class for the Practice of Chamber Music will held under the direction of the following members of the Musical Staff Miss Sasse Miss Riley and Miss Hemmings Piano Violin Violoncello The course will consist of six lessons during the term of two hours each to be held once fortnight Some proficiency will be requisite for this course and students are therefore requested to make early application that the class may be duly organised before the commence- ment of next Term ן The works to be studied will include Sonatas and Trios by Haydn Mozart Beethoven Mendelssohn Schumann Gade Grieg &c Fee for the Course £ 3s
