304 MEDICAL DEPARTMENT written examination principally in Surgery including als writing Prescriptions in both cases having particular ref rence to the nature of Out-Patient Surgery They sha attend punctually on the days of the Surgeon under whoi they may be serving for the purpose of dressing patients the Surgery and registering the patients under the directio of the Surgeon or Assistant Surgeon in attendance Dental Surgeon's Assistants -There shall be two Assistant to the Dental Surgeon elected by examination in Dentistn from among those Pupils who shall have attended wit regularity the Dental Practice of the Hospital These appointments are open to Students studying for th Dental Diploma of the College of Surgeons as well as Matriculated Students They shall serve for Six Months shall attend regularly the hours appointed and act under the direction of tht Surgeon Dentist In-Patient Dressers -There shall be twelve In-Patient Dressers four for each In-Patient Surgeon and one for Mr Bell's In-Patients Candidates must have filled the office Out-Patient Dresser and have attended six months' In-Patient Clinical practice In addition to the above In-Patient Dressers Professor Wood appoints Senior Dresser from amongst his own Dressers as reward for assiduity and skill The viva voce examination shall be principally in Anatomy the written one in Surgery having particular reference to the nature of In-Patient Surgery Candidates shall also if required take chosen by the Surgeons from patients in the house at the time of examination In-Patient Dressers shall dress and register the cases admitted into the Hospital under the direction of the Surgeon or House Surgeon In every surgical case upon which post-mortem exami- nation is held the Dresser under whose care the patient has been shall immediately after the holding of such examination
