×™ medical department 301 practise Medicine or shall be full member of the Roval ollege of Surgeons of England ×™ that is have passed in iedicine as well as Surgery and shall have served to the itisfaction of the Physicians the office of In-Patient Clinical lerk for the full period of six months The viva voce examination shall be in Anatomy and Morbid tiiatorny the written examination in Materia Medica Toxico- gy in the Practice of Medicine and in Midwifery The Physician's Assistant shall visit the medical wards aily between the hours of 10 and 12 15 o'clock in the lorning accompany the Physician during his visit and rescribe under his direction shall see such patients in he evening as the Physician may think necessary and 1e responsible for the proper treatment of the medical S6S In the event of the death of any patient in the Medical Yards he shall send immediate notice to the Physician under those care the patient was admitted and to the Pathological Hegistrar Assistant House Physician -The examination for this office is he same as that required for the office of Physician's Assistant This Officer will not reside in the Hospital He shall supply the place of the Physician's Assistant during Idis necessary absence and assist him when required except at such times as he is in attendance on the Physicians to the Out-Patients He shall make chemical and microscopical jxaminations and be responsible for all instruments and ipparatus entrusted to his care He shall attend in the Out- Patient department at one o'clock daily and remain there until all the Out-Patients have been prescribed for shall occupy separate desk and see such patients as are allotted to him by the Physician in attendance Candidates must have served the office of Clinical Clerk to the Out-Patients but no Student is eligible to enter on the duties of this office at period later than five years and half from the time of his Matriculation or year of standing see page 251 in the Medical Department
