486 civil service classes viii ך INTENDING STUDENTS FROM THE COUNTRY Intending students from the country being often desirou of testing their qualifications before incurring the expense removing to London for preparation the Lecturers of thi Department undertake to examine them through the postwitl the view of expressing an opinion on their work and chances of passing and of advising them generally as to the cours they should pursue It must however be understood thai the Lecturers can do nothing by correspondence that will iu any degree anticipate or serve as substitute for the actual class teaching The following fees are charged for the above examination £1 10s for candidates for Clerkships Class 15 for candidates for all other appointments Applications for examination must be addressed to the Secretary King's College must state the class of appointment for which the applicant is candidate and must be accompanied by Post Office Order payable to John William Cunningham at Charing Cross London Lodgings -The Lecturers can recommend respectable houses where the cost of board lodging and the usual extras except washing will not exceed 21s per week 15s in the case of Female Students -payments to be made in advance
