430 EVENING CLASSES XIII Class Prizes and Certificates At the close of each winter session examinations are held in each subject Prizes and Certificates are awarded accord- ing to the following rules Tn each class there are offered Prize or in the case of there being less than 10 Students in the Class Certificate of Honour to the Student who shall be highest in the examination provided he shall gain not less than three-fourths of the marks allotted to the subject Certificates of Distinction -One Certificate to each of the Students next succession who shall gain not less than three-fourths of the marks allotted to the subject Certificates of Merit -One Certificate to each of the Students next in succession who shall gain not less than three-fifths of the marks allotted to the subject II Whenever Class is divided into two or more divisions each division will be treated as distinct Class as regards Prizes and Certificates III Prizeman of former year if he continues to attend the same Division of any subject or the same subject if there be no Divisions may be examined with the other Students may be classed in order of merit and mav obtain such Cer- tificate as the number of his marks will justify but cannot again obtain the Prize nor can he count the marks except those gained in Divinity towards the Cunningham 99 Prize the "Jelf" Medal or towards one of the "Aggregate" This rule will not apply when the subject of instruction in any class is totally different from the subject taught in the
