384 EVENING CLASSES Division Prof Buchheim Ph Tuesday and Friday Reading of German Classics Class to Historical German Grammai Syntax Idioms Translations from modern English authors Original Composition optional Reading modern German Drama Grammar General Recapitulation of Class II to Accidence and Principal Rules of Syntax Commercial Idioms Dictation Easy German Prose Composition The Text Books to be used in the above Divisions will be lected at the first meeting of the Class Buchheim's German Prose Composition מ Bell and Sons will be used The Professor will receive the written work of the students in the Advanced Class and return it corrected explaining the corrections partly in marginal notes and partly orally at the Class Special assistance and advice will be given to those who may be desirous of preparing themselves for the Matricula- tion or Degree Examinations in the University of London the India or Home Civil Service Class &c and also to those Students who may wish to qualify themselves teachers of German -Students wishing to qualify themselves as foreigi correspondents will receive special help in writing Germai commercial letters and in translating from and into German Trade Reports &c One of the chief obstacles for Englisl clerks in qualifying themselves as foreign corresponded consists in their difficulty of making themselves practical acquainted with the various modes of German handwriting and in order to obviate that difficulty Professor Buchheir will be happy to place at the disposal of the students fc temporary ase facsimile German commercial letters all which have been used in the transaction of business
