EVENING CLASSES 379 If he be intended for the Civil Service at home or ibroad- English Any two Modern Languages recognised in the Civil Service Examination Mathematics Logic International Law Political Economy If he intend to follow the Mercantile Profession as Banker Merchant Shipowner Sbipbroker Insurance Agent Accountant or Actuary- English French and German or any two Modern Languages Mathematics Geography Commerce and Commercial Law Political Economv If he wish to obtain knowledge of the Sciences con- 1ected with practical Art or to become Chemical Μ ami- acturer Metallurgist or Miner Engineer or Architect- Mathematics Mechanics Drawing Phvsics Elementary Chemistry Mineralogy and Geology Metallurgy Practical Metallurgy Fuel These Courses should occupy two years and may be attended partly in one year and partly in another in an order to be determined by the Dean of the Department Arrange- ments will be made as far as possible to allow Students who may show on Examination sufficient knowledge of any subject to omit it and substitute another In the course or at the end of each scholastic year viz from October to June except on subjects in which no
